From the Board of Directors:
To Ligonier Country Club Members:
As you may have noticed, our new pickleball courts are open and ready for play. Here are some guidelines.
All Ligonier Country Club members are encouraged to use the courts at any time during the day or early evening. We intend to have “open play” on both courts each day from 10:00 am to 12:00 and 4:00 to 7:00 pm. This will be for all levels of play. Reservations are not needed – just show up with your friends and guests and enjoy the competition and comradery. Courts may be reserved for a private group at any other time. Call the pro shop to reserve a court for one or two hours.
Guests of LCC members are welcomed. They must be accompanied by a member.
Typical pickleball attire (tees, athletic shorts, and sneakers) is acceptable. However, if using any of our other facilities, the LCC dress code is still in effect, and a change of clothes will be required. Members will be responsible for notifying their guests of our dress code policy.
For beginners, we will be having an instruction event in the very near future. Until then, we have copies of the basic rules of pickleball in the pro shop. Stop by and pick up a copy. Also, the pro shop will have a limited supply of paddles and balls available for use. Give it a try!
Ligonier Country Club is trying very hard to add benefit to our membership. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country and is a sport that can be enjoyed by everyone. So come out and learn the game and give it a try.
